Job Overview

Shape the electrical future of our products as an Controls System Engineer. This pivotal role offers the opportunity to own the electrical design lifecycle for our product line, from innovative concept to successful production and customer implementation. Leverage your expertise in controls systems, electro-mechanical systems, and technical documentation to directly impact product quality and drive our continued growth.

Key Responsibilities

  • Architect and implement robust electrical systems for our complete product range.
  • Develop clear, concise documentation for production and customer success (manuals, instructions).
  • Ensure product quality through proactive management of engineering changes and corrections.
  • Drive projects to completion with effective workplan creation and execution.
  • Program and troubleshoot control systems using Allen Bradley Studio5000.
  • Utilize LabVIEW, FactoryTalk View, Ignition, and CCW to optimize design and testing.
  • Lead prototyping, testing, and troubleshooting of electro-mechanical systems.
  • Design efficient electrical layouts, including control panels and programming.
  • Apply 480V low voltage power knowledge and safety best practices.
  • Contribute to test cell development and support.
  • Create clear and accurate technical documentation.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Education: Bachelor’s in Electrical Engineering or equivalent technical degree/experience.
  • Experience: 5+ years in control system design engineering.
  • Technical Expertise: Strong understanding of electrical design, control systems, and electro-mechanical systems.
  • Software Proficiency: Expert in Allen Bradley Studio5000 and experience with LabVIEW, FactoryTalk View, Ignition, and CCW.
  • Core Skills: Proven ability in prototyping, testing, troubleshooting, and electrical layout design. Excellent technical writing and communication skills. Highly organized, resourceful, and innovative with strong project management abilities.
  • Drive: Self-motivated with a strong commitment to meeting project schedules.
  • Teamwork: Ability to collaborate effectively within interdisciplinary teams.

Preferred Qualifications

  • SolidWorks experience.
  • Knowledge of NEC and UL508A.
  • Strong electrical aptitude and knowledge of best practices.
