We are building the foundation of a platform that will revolutionize the way we look at sewage infrastructure and wastewater treatment. We have created the first distributed sewer product/service that offers a solution to nitrogen pollution and provides key advantages for end users, developers as well as utilities and municipalities. There are tens of millions of aging septic tanks in the United States that will need to be replaced soon.
We are seeking a key leader in Florida focusing on application and schedule coordination, delivery, installation and commissioning as the Installation Director (Director level). This position will drive us forward in innovative approaches to application processing, effective fabrication, developing staff/crews and subcontractors, and building effective client and end-user relationships.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Overall responsibilities for the execution of installation ($4M-$6M annually) after sales close with municipal (cities, counties) and homebuilders and developers within budget and time requirements. Manages staff (currently 2) and subcontracted installation workforce.
  • Work closely with the CEO, peer management, and Business Development to formulate the overall execution and growth strategy, including execution growth to match market growth. Clearly articulate strategy to team and execute and deliver on expectations.
  • Leads application process with municipal clients and coordinates installation schedule with builders/developers for Distributed Wastewater Treatment Services.
  • Develop subcontractors for installation services including prime installation companies, electric subcontractors, site restoration subcontractors, soil analysis firms and drain field design firms. Proposes in-sourcing versus outsourcing strategy. Executes on approved insourcing options.
  • Aids in developing a comprehensive market persona. Be a visible, outward-facing, and dynamic company representative to end users and clients.
  • Maintain a network of industry leaders and firms.
  • Develop and maintain an in-depth knowledge of competing service providers and companies.
  • Provides execution leadership and transformation in the following areas:
    • Works with Application and Project Management staff to ensure customers are provided proper solutions for residential, commercial, and new development. Establishes training and development programs for group to continue to develop standards, raise knowledge and support proposal delivery and close.
    • Works with subcontractors and fabricators to ensure effective service delivery and elevated levels of customer satisfaction. Optimize schedule and work allotment.
    • Manages warrantee repairs and issue follow-up.
    • Manages fleet, maintenance and CDL requirements, if in-sources.
    • Completes, submits, and negotiates State and local permits associated with septic tank services.
    • Provides out-of-scope proposal costing and format for standard and custom services and installation.
    • Leads deployment and use of software systems for call interfaces, quotes, scheduling, and billing.
  • Develop, nurture, and grow meaningful and valuable strategic relationships.
Professional Qualifications
  • Prior experience as key manager in septic or service industry (Construction, HVAC, Electrical, Pest Control Servies or similar) reporting to CEO, COO, or SVP. Septic Tank and drain field experience desired.
  • Successful experience leading a company through significant improvement, scaling, and profitability.
  • Demonstrated knowledge and experience with skilled trades, subcontracting and service delivery in the residential services industry.
  • A strategic visionary with sound analytical ability, good judgment, and an innovative nature.
  • Strong financial budgeting, planning, and cash management experience and skills.
  • Strong diplomatic and negotiation skills. Experience negotiating commercial agreements with suppliers, marketing and service organizations, and customers including builders and developers.
  • Formal undergraduate education.
  • 5 years’ experience in residential and light commercial industries
  • 3 years’ experience in onsite treatment and drain field design including soils, physical standards, industry products and approaches wanted but willing to train the right person.
