Project Manager Water and Wastewater equipment On-site position $80-115k depending on experience
THE COMPANY is a supplier of custom-engineered headworks screens and grit/solids management equipment for the water and wastewater treatment markets. THE COMPANY is the North American sales and engineering subsidiary of a large parent company headquartered in Italy. THE COMPANY is conveniently located halfway between Chicago and Milwaukee.
Key Responsibilities
The Project Manager coordinates internal and external resources to successfully manage and deliver custom-engineered equipment projects on time and on budget.
Preparation of engineering submittals in accordance with specification documents and contractual requirements as well as monitoring/negotiating financial issues that impact the projects are key responsibilities of the position.
Job Overview
Manage multiple projects in various stages of completion.
Supervise the activities of detailers assigned to each of the projects and delegate additional responsibilities to increase their contributions to the projects.
Maintain a minimum 90% on-time goal for submittal completion/approval and other time-sensitive project deadlines.
Review the consulting engineer’s specifications to verify that the equipment being provided will meet the requirements of the specifications.
Responsible for the project from receipt of PO through submittal, production release, shipment, and startup.
Coordinate with equipment manufacturers and vendors.
Maintain job section budgets and margins.
Prepare and submit monthly project updates.
Prepare purchase requisitions.
Work with Accounting on any accounts receivable issues.
Be the main point of contact for contractors, consulting engineers, and sales representatives involved in the project.
Complete job reconciliation process within the timeframe required by Accounting.
Preferred Qualifications
A degree in Mechanical, Civil, or Environmental Engineering is preferred, but a combination of education and hands-on experience is considered.
A minimum of five years experience in water/wastewater engineering is preferred and experience with headworks liquid/solid separation equipment would be a definite plus.
Someone outside of the W/WW industry with a manufacturing PM background would also be considered.
