Job Overview

Reporting to Vice President of Sales, the Region Sales Manager position is vital to the growth of business and will be assessed based on revenue generation. Manages route to market – Primarily direct sales in assigned territory, in this case the Western Half of the United States, for maximum profitability and growth in line with company vision and values. 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: 

  • Manage route to market – End users, Integrators, OEM’s, corporate level accounts, contractors and distributors. 
  • Achieves regional sales operational objectives by contributing regional sales information and recommendations to strategic plans and reviews; preparing and completing action plans; implementing production, productivity, quality, and customer-service standards; resolving problems; identifying trends; determining regional sales system improvements; and implementing change. 
  • Meets regional sales financial objectives by forecasting requirements; preparing an annual budget; scheduling expenditures; pricing strategies 
  • Lead direct sales efforts while utilizing and establishing sales objectives for 3rd party manufacturer representatives 
  • Recommends product lines by identifying new product opportunities, and/or product, packaging, and service changes; surveying consumer needs and trends; tracking competitors. 
  • Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; and maintaining personal networks. 
  • Communicates through electronic platforms such as Zoom/Microsoft Teams, in-person visits, trade shows, and presentations to existing and prospective customers 
  • Analyzes the territory/market potential and determines the value of new and existing customers 
  • Research sources for developing prospective customers 
  • Coordinates sales efforts with marketing, sales management, accounting, project management, and engineering 
  • Inputs RFQs and updates status weekly in CRM (NetSuite)

Education and/or Experience: 

  • Bachelor of Science Degree in Business, Construction or Engineering or related field. 
  • Minimum of 5-7 Years of proven industrial and/or capital equipment sales or business development responsibility in the water and wastewater markets. Such markets could include municipal, industrial, commercial fire protection, bioenergy, leachate, or other process water customer base. 
  • Prior storage tank experience is preferred.
