Job Overview
We are seeking an Electrical Manager to be responsible for the oversight of the Controls Engineering, and Electrical Engineering departments, as well as acting as a liaison to the Electrical Assembly department. Responsibilities include ensuring quality, prioritizing projects, enhancing processes, leading the team, providing technical expertise, and collaborating with stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Strategic Oversight: Direct quality control for electrical and automation functions, ensuring alignment with production goals.
- Project Execution: Manage project bids, documentation (BOMs, drawings), and timelines, while maintaining budget adherence.
- Technical Leadership: Drive automation and control system design, programming, and implementation, providing expert guidance.
- Compliance and Optimization: Enforce UL standards, promote continuous improvement, and maintain current technical knowledge.
- Team Management and Development: Lead, mentor, and evaluate team performance, delegating tasks and resolving personnel issues.
- Resource and Vendor Coordination: Collaborate with purchasing, manage vendor relationships, and leverage external resources for optimal project outcomes.
Qualifications & Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, related field, or equivalent.
- 5+ years of relevant electrical engineering experience.
- Strong UL compliance knowledge, ability to pass UL508A MTR exam, proficiency in technical drawings and software (Excel, Word, etc.).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Detail-oriented, organized, and professional.
Preferred Qualifications
- Proven team leadership experience.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD.
- Skilled with Allen-Bradley/Rockwell PLC and HMI programming.
- ERP system experience (Epicor preferred).
- Experience specifying components for filtration or similar systems.
