Job Summary

Service Technicians serve customers by primarily installing, repairing and servicing domestic and wastewater systems around the New England area.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Repair and service maintenance on water booster pumps and waste water pumps and systems
  • Establishes service by studying system requirements; gathering components and parts
  • Maintains rapport with customers by examining issues; identifying solutions; suggesting improved methods and techniques; recommending system improvements.
  • Keeps personal equipment operating by following operating instructions; troubleshooting breakdowns; maintaining supplies; performing preventive maintenance; calling for repairs.
  • Document service and installation actions by completing forms, reports, logs, and records on a computer or tablet device
  • Maintain constant communication with the Dispatcher, Service Manager and Inside Sales Support Team
  • Provides quotes to repair systems
  • Maintain, keep clean and organize service vehicle once one is assigned to you.
  • Ability to safety take voltage readings, has very little exposure to control circuits
  • Ability to deal with changes on the fly
  • Ability to completely fill out all paperwork in a timely manner with use of laptop

Qualifications and Skills

  • Strong mechanical ability and trouble shooting skills
  • Ability to complete out of the normal jobs with the help of phone support by higher level (more experience) tech
  • Ability to safely take voltage readings
  • Ability to deal with changes on the fly
  • Ability to completely fill out all paperwork in a timely manner
  • Able to consistently answer after hours calls when needed
  • Able to determine what additional work is needed at a job site
  • Ability to assist any rigging of large equipment
  • Must have excellent communication skills, written and oral
  • Must be able to interact professionally with all customers and employees
  • Must be a team player
  • Candidates will need to authorize the company to release their driver information therefore you must have active license and clean driving record
