EOSi’s agriculturally-derived line of MicroC® of premium carbon sources address contaminants including nitrogen, phosphorous, selenium and perchlorate. MicroC® products are also used as BOD supplements to sustain biomass during maintenance at industrial wastewater facilities and establish biomass for new plant startups. MicroC® products provide a non- hazardous and environmentally sustainable alternative to methanol or other chemicals used in similar biological contaminant removal applications.

The Company’s MicroC® line of liquid chemicals is currently manufactured at 20 locations across the United States and is utilized by over 500 wastewater treatment plants committed to a safer, more effective, and environmentally sustainable solution compared with methanol and other carbon sources. In addition, EOSi offers highly specialized technical expertise and support to help plant engineers and operators optimize the use of its products and achieve their effluent performance objectives. EOSi is also engaged in research and development efforts focused on bringing the next generation of biological contaminant removal solutions to the market.

Automation and Instrumentation Engineering Manager

Reporting to the VP of Process Solutions & Programs (PS&P).

The Automation and Instrumentation Engineering Manager (A&IM) will work from the corporate office in Bourne, MA (Cape Cod). A&IM will be responsible for leading the Company’s strategic initiative to develop and implement instrumentation and control strategies, methodologies, and data management of its customers. This Cloud based platform is used to gain greater transparency into our customers’ processes, optimize wastewater treatment plant performance using MicroC® products, and deliver value added services in alignment with the Company’s goals and objectives. In particular, A&IM will be responsible for managing different stages of EOSi’s control and instrumentation programs including design, manufacturing, installation, and

maintenance of EOSi’s proprietary Nitrack® controller (and any other future controllers) as well as associated equipment and cloud based data management system. The A&IM will make sure that these systems and processes operate effectively, securely, and reliably. The A&IM will also manage EOSi’s Asset Management Program (AMP), which tracks the company’s instrumentation, analyzer, and equipment assets.

A&IM will directly supervise the Process Automation Engineer (PAE), responsible for Nitrack® controller program and remote data management, and the Instrumentation and Control

Specialist (I&CS), responsible for EOSi’s Asset Management Program and Instrumentation, as well as supports the Nitrack and remote data management programs. In addition, A&IM must gain a thorough understanding of the operational processes of our organization, products, and technical services (PS&P). A&IM is a multidisciplinary role, working closely with colleagues across a number of functions, including operations, sales, and PS&P. The A&IM will work closely with the sales and technical teams to manage pilot evaluations and coordinate ongoing program performance monitoring and optimization efforts.

Work activities

Responsibilities for this position include the following:

  Lead all aspects of EOSi’s Nitrack®, remote process monitoring (RPMs), and Asset Management Program (ASM) program including manufacturing, software development, and documentation, in addition to continuously monitoring and measuring the progress with both programs based on priorities defined by VP of PS&P and SVP of Sales, Marketing, and Client Programs

  Work with PAE and I&CS to prepare Scope of Work (SOW) and functional control

description (FCD) to lead EOSi’s Nitrack® and RPM programs

  Manage EOSi’s Nitrack® and RPM fabrication shop to effectively meet the needs of the

Company’s manufacturing requirements and work with the VP of PS&P to establish manufacturing standardization in alignment with the Company’s financial, quality control, intellectual property (IP) protection, and business growth goals

  Supervise and manage the Company’s cloud based data management program initiative in accordance with the Company’s priorities and milestones

  Manage the documentation efforts of EOSi’s Cloud based platform development, automation, and data management activities

  Supervise the manufacturing of future control units and write associated software programs and test procedures

  Work with the VP of PS&P and the VP of Product and Market Development to develop and conceptualize automation strategies and methodologies to (1) optimize MicroC® product use for denitrification and/or enhanced biological phosphorus removal (EBPR) in wastewater treatment plants, (2) optimize wastewater treatment plant performance in general, and/or (3) optimize the use of other products that the Company may from time- to-time access in alignment with the Company’s sales, standardization, and customer retention strategies

  Get fully familiar and manage the Company’s current instrumentation and controls (I&C) offerings within EOSi’s AMP, including developing and M&R program to cost effectively manage repairs and maintenance of company’s asset in the field and in inventory.

  Liaise with clients, suppliers, contractors and relevant stakeholders to support EOSi technical and automation value added service offering

  Networking will be required, including conference attendance, travel to engineering offices, regulatory agencies, and technology providers to coordinate “brown bag” lunch presentations

  Lead the company’s asset management program (AMP), equipment management processes, and activities (Manage and improve the Salesforce (SF) application ELTON for inventory management (or any other software used for asset management), receive

and ship equipment to support PS&P team activities) and continue to find ways to

improve this process

  Manage AMP activities to effectively maintain equipment, controllers, and

instrumentation in all the programs operational, calibrated, and communicative.

  Supervise the Equipment purchasing activities for PS&P

  Help PS&P team to develop new proposals in alignment with PS&P program offering

and prepare Key Account Management (KAM) reports

Requirements:

Work from corporate office in Bourne, MA at least 3 days a week******

B.S. in Engineering

8 years of process control and automation engineering experience

Strong leadership and teamwork skills with a results oriented commitment

4 Years of proven leadership experience

Sound knowledge of programming (SCADA and/or PC based automation languages)

Sound knowledge of data management and SQL programming

Experience in creating technical documentation in a regulated environment is highly

preferred

Experience with Cloud platform development and management

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Knowledge of BNR science and processes is preferred
