Job Summary

As a Senior Project Engineer/Manager this person will be directly responsible for a team of engineers and needs to have 2,000-1M+ MGD WWTP soup to nuts design experience to lead projects.

Responsibilities and Duties


  • Applies broad knowledge of principles and practice in a specific practice area.
  • Independently evaluates, selects, and adapts standard techniques, procedures, and criteria.
  • Acquires general knowledge of principles and practices of related fields, and ability to function on multidisciplinary teams.
  • Design a complete project, system, component, or process.
  • Prepares complete project documents.
  • Design and conduct experiments, and analyzes and interprets data.
  • Formulates and solves problems.
  • Assigns tasks to and direct engineers, technicians, and administrative staff.
  • Plans and coordinates detailed aspect of the engineering work.
  • Prepares scopes, budgets, and schedule for assignments.
  • Assists with proposals to provide professional services or obtain funding for engineering projects or programs.
  • Receives guidance when necessary on unconventional or complex problems, direction on modified techniques, and new approaches on assignments with conflicting criteria.
  • Interacts with clients, customers, officials, contractors, and others.
  • Attends project meeting and presents specific aspect of engineering assignments.


Qualifications and Skills​

  • Education: Minimum of Bachelor’s degree (BS) from an accredited four-year engineering/technical college or university with extensive course work related to the design of water resources infrastructure. Civil, environmental, and/or mechanical engineering background expected.
  • Certifications & Licenses: Professional Engineering License.
  • Experience: Applicant should have 5+ years of related engineering design experience.
  • LEED or equivalent certification
  • Water or wastewater licenses
